As part of the West Coast upgrades, major improvement work is being done, initially from now until August 2021. It means trains and stations may be busier, while some services will change or could be replaced by buses.

Sat 31st July - Sun 8th August

On Sunday 15th August essential works mean part of the West Coast mainline will be blocked. Trains travelling between Nuneaton and Stafford on the Trent Valley line will be diverted via the West Midlands. This will result in longer journey times and less frequent trains. Between 22:30 on Saturday 14th August and 05:00 on Monday 16th August essential works mean part of the West Coast mainline will be blocked. Changes to some trains near to Crewe. Trains that usually run through Kidsgrove and Alsager will need to be diverted due to these works. Please check your journey before travelling or sign up to updates for the latest information.
